Days 2-3: Glacier Bay National Park:

Travel nearly 60 miles when you cruise to Grand Pacific and Margerie Glaciers, which frequently calve huge icebergs into the bay. If conditions permit, weave among the icebergs aboard inflatable rafts. In the evenings, the ship anchors in hidden coves. Your mornings are spent paddling in kayaks to discover puffin, sea lion, mountain goat, bear, moose and eagle living amid gorgeous scenery.

Meals Served: B L D

Day 4: Icy Strait:

There is no agenda for today, other than to savor every moment scouring the nutrient-rich waters in search of humpback whale, porpoise, sea lion and other wildlife. Marvel at the grand scenery of the Alaskan wilderness as you and your crew explore the hidden areas that only the locals know. Join the captain on the bridge or out on deck in search of marine mammals. Late this afternoon, head out by skiff and kayak to further explore remote Point Adolphus, Alaska's most famous humpback whale feeding area. Be on the lookout for the telltale blow as you cruise through Icy Strait. Before retiring for the evening, relax in the upper deck hot tub or enjoy a nightcap with your fellow travellers in the salon.

Meals Served: B L D

Day 5: Frederick Sound:

Cruise around Admiralty Island to more prime humpback viewing waters in Frederick Sound. Go sea kayaking in Saginaw Bay and cruise up-close to a sea lion colony at the Brothers Islands.

Meals Served: B L D

Day 6: Admiralty Island:

Tuck in to Gambier Bay, a large, island-speckled body of water on the south coast of Admiralty Island National Monument. Drop the kayaks and launch the skiff for up-close exploration to see the thick evergreen forest that crowds down to the gravel beaches. This is an outstanding opportunity to spot the huge brown (grizzly) bear Admiralty Island is famous for. At low tide, they're right down on the beaches, seeking a shellfish supper. As the ship makes her way to Wood Spit, watch for humpback whale.

Meals Served: B L D

Day 7: Ford's Terror and Endicott Arm:

View cliff-walled fjords sliced into the mountainous mainland in another scenic area. Snow gleams on mountaintops high overhead, as bear amble on the shoreline and mountain goat cling to impossibly precarious perches. It seems that every few hundred yards another sparkling waterfall tumbles down the cliffs. Enjoy a skiff ride at Ford's Terror, named after an early mariner who was somewhat taken aback when a waterfall appeared at the turn of the tide where none had been visible at high tide. Anchor overnight at Taku Harbor for the captain's farewell dinner.

Meals Served: B L D

Day 8: Disembark in Juneau/Depart:

Transfer to the airport or hotel.
